I'm back - No for real this time.

Alright, I know I did a fake out and said that I was back a couple of months ago but, hey, life happened. Things have been pretty crazy in my life and I thought that maybe the diversion of the internet would bring me some sanity.

For my first post I thought I would do an EOTD. Yes, EYE of the day. I have been freaking obsessed with eyeshadow for the past month or so. Gasp! Horror! I know! Me, who never needed an eyeshadow because I have the Crayola crayon selection of liners. I must say that I was crazy, I didn't know what I was thinking. I don't think I could function without my shadow. I mean if I'm just running to the store I don't really put any on, but I don't know how I lived 18 years of my life without eyeshadow. Aright enough babbling, onto the goods ...

Eye of the Day

- Products I used -
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette
  • MAC Sketch Eyeshadow
  • Covergirl Lashblast
  • Maybelline Lash Stiletto
  • L'Oreal Voluminous

My new obsession, UD Naked Palette

- How to -
  1. Apply your base and put Toasted all over the lid.
  2. Add Sketch to the crease to create depth.
  3. Use Hustle for your outer V and BLEND!!!!
  4. Take Hustle down to your lower lash line.
  5. Apply your favorite mascara.

I have found the Trifecta of all mascaras!!! If anyone cares here's what I do ....

  1. Curl lashes and apply a generous coat of Covergirl Lashblast to separate.
  2. Apply another generous coat of Maybelline Lash Stiletto to lengthen
  3. Top it off with a nice coat of L'Oreal Voluminous to really make your lashes full and lush.
For some extra oomph I will wait until I'm done with my hair and all dressed and I will curl my lashes again and apply another coat of the Voluminous.

Have a great day ladies!

I'm backkk ...

Ok, so I am a bad bad blogger but in my defense I finished school, ended a great relationship, moved across the country, got a car, and got a job. - I've been a busy busy bee.

To kick off my comeback I have a haul, some product raves and just random crap.

So I've been here for two weeks and I have a job in the mall which is going to burn a HUGE hole in my pocked and I have FINALLY found NYX. Here's the damage done so far with my very limited little plot of money.

Here we have NYX Round Lipsticks in Louisiana and Narcissus, NYX Lipliner in Dolly Pink, OPI in You Don't Know Jacques! and Parlez-Vous OPI?, and Revlon Lipgloss in Lilac Pastelle.

Insert a million swatches here ...

Top to bottom: Dolly Pink, Narcissus, Louisiana, Maybelline Volume XL Seduction Lipcolor in In The Nude and Lilac Pastelle.

The Maybelline lipstick is in there because I like to wear the Revlon lipgloss on top of it like so...

Now for the rest of my lovely lip products ...

Dolly Pink lipliner under Narcissus and L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black (my new obsession).

Louisiana which I love a lot more than I thought I would.

And here we have Parlez-Vous OPI? which I LOVE!

With Flash

And without.

So that is all for the makeup-y, beauty things. As far as what's going on with me there's a lot. I recently moved to Dallas, Texas to live with my mother. I arrived about two and a half weeks ago. Since I bought a car, registered for classes at The University of North Texas and today I officially got a job working at Charlotte Russe. It has been a whirlwind and I will be so happy when things settle down.

FOTD

Today was pretty epic I'm not gonna lie. I used eyeshadow! I don't normally wear eyeshadow but I am starting to like it. I have one quad and one single and a TON of eye liner so I am having fun coming up with new combinations.

Like this one for example ...
My first attempt at a smokey eye ;).

- Products I Used -
Face:
  • Concealer: Maybelline Dream Mousse in Light Ivory
  • Foundation: Covergirl CG Smothers in 710 - Classic Ivory
  • Blush: Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in 20 - Peach Satin
  • Setting Powder: Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil in Light
  • Bronzer: NYC Matte Bronzer in 720a - Sunny
Eyes:
  • Maybelline New York Quad in 10 - Mocha Motion
  • L'Oreal Studio Secret EyeShadow in 920 - Lush Raven
  • Prestige Liquid Liner in 01 - Black
  • Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black
  • Covergirl Lashblast Mascara in Very Black

Steps on the eyes:
1. Use the Mocha Motion quad and put the grey-ish shadow labeled "crease" all over your lid.
2. Take the L'Oreal Eyeshadow or just a matte black and blend it into your crease focusing on
the outer corner.
3. Use the same shadow and take an angled liner brush and put it on your lower lashline.
4. Line your upper lashline with the Prestige Liquid Liner.
5. Add the Revlon Colorstay to your water line.
6. Put on your favorite mascara and you are ready to go!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day =).

Totally 80s.

Hello dearies,

So I was feeling a bit 80s today and dressed so accordingly. I don't know what it was but I just had the urge. It might be the overdose of Madonna I've been on. We're not talking Ray of Light Madonna we're talking Blonde Ambition Tour Madonna. Don't get me wrong I still love Madonna I just think that was her best era.

So here is my Outfit of the Day

And since you can't see my shoes here they are
I love them so freaking much!

Shirt - Harvard
Jeans - Delias (The Morgan fit I think)
Boots - Urban Outfitters

It's pretty simple but I like it. I have been getting into this habit of cutting all the collars off my t-shirts. I think it looks better and it's not as suffocating. That and it's a little 80s and I LOVE the 80s. The boots have become my favorite shoes in my very extended collection. They're super comfortable and they can either be dressed up or dressed down. They're a little expensive but I think they're worth it.

Ok, so for FOTD I had an issue getting a good picture because I have no webcam at the moment. In the midst of the computer epidemic I had my computer re-formatted and my webcam software is all at home in New York. That being said here are the products I used ...
Minimalism at it's best.
  • Concealer - Maybelline Dream Mousse in Light Ivory
  • Eyeshadow - Maybelline New York Quad in Mocha Motion
  • Eyeliner - Rimmel Soft Khol liner in 011 - Sable Brown
  • Mascara - Maybelline Collossal Volume Express
  • Lipstick - Revlon ColorStay in Soft Cinnamon

You can't see my whole face but I did get a good picture of the lip color and my awesome fake Ray Bans for $10 at Urban Outfitters ;).

I hope everyone is having a great, playful day =).

In The Groove

Ok so I know I'm on blog overload today but I am just too excited to keep it to myself.

So I got bored as I usually do and I started researching the upcoming MAC collections. A lot of people are talking about the To The Beach collection and to be frank it doesn't look all that interesting and the packaging is hideous. Well, while running my little inquiry on Google I tripped over Temptalia. I found a nice list of all the upcoming MAC collections here. Most of them look ok but the one that really caught my eye was In the Groove.

I have to say that I am ecstatic about this collection. Being a lip fanatic it looks like there is a wide range of colors and that makes me happy. I also love blushes so the Mineralize Blush Duos will definitely be getting a good look. I am also pumped about the MSF repromotes. (I may not have any MAC but I do keep my eyes on certain things).

With that being said the things I will most definitely be purchasing are the lipstick in Call My Bluff and the Petticoat MSF. Beyond that things I am interested in are the Go For It lipstick, Cremesheen in Fashion Whim and Band of Roses Mineralize Blush Duo.

What do you think of the collection and what is on your list?

Wishful Thinking ...

Hey guys,

Today has been such a depressing day. It's really gross out and it's supposed to rain. It's also getting cold - ick. It's just one of those days where you don't want to do anything except watch YouTube and complain about how crappy it is out.

On top of the weather Liberty of London is officially over (I think). It's not on the website anymore. I am SO bummed. There was soo much stuff in that collection that looked so appealing to me. I worked a lot over the weekend so I'll FINALLY have some money in my pocket but it looks like it's a little too late - sad face =(.

Anyway, on a positive note - this weekend should be a lot of fun. The boyfriend and I are going to a wedding together. While that in itself should be fun the thing both of us are looking foward to the most is ... are you ready? .... WHITE CASTLE!!! I am so freaking excited. Now I don't know about where you live but here in the North East White Castles are far and few between. So on our way back from the wedding to school we're gonna stop and pig out. It's kind of sad we're more excited about that than the wedding =/. Oh well.

Now back to Liberty of London and MAC. I have never gotten anything from MAC and I never really understood the outrageous prices. Now after Liberty of London I am a believer. Every product in that collection was absolutely stunning and you could really see the quality of the products. I have a new respect for MAC and a long wishlist to go with it ;).

Wish List:
  • For the whole freaking Liberty of London collection to come back when I have money.
  • July 8th for MAC's In The Groove collection to launch!
  • Lipsticks in Peachstock, High Tea, Russian Red, Speed Dial and Viva Glam Cyndi.
  • Lipglass in Chai, Spite, Revealing and Russian Red
  • Blush in Dirty Plum, Fever, Frankly Scarlet, Breath of Plum and Desert Rose

And on top of that I was in Douglas on Friday and I fell in love with Flora by Gucci. It's so obscenely expensive but it's such a beautiful fragrance and it would be a lovely addition to my collection =).

What a week!

Hello my lovelies.

I know I have been MIA the past couple of days. I had a major computer meltdown. On Friday I got a virus and - long story short - when I went to get the virus extracted they found about a million things wrong with my computer. I had to back everything up and completely reformat. So I spent about 12 hours total in my university's IRT building. The only good thing that came out of this is that I got Windows 7 for free and I have an addiction to Twitter.

That is it for now my dears.

In & Out, OOTD, and an Update.

Hello lovelies,
Today was another good day, despite the fact that I am buried in Pysch homework and flute etudes to practice. It has been SO beautiful out, I am loving it. It's not too cold and it's not too hot =). Anyway I thought I would put up my second OOTD. It's just something I threw together this morning - I had a lot of running around to do.
OOTD
Shirt - H&M
Scarf - H&M
Shorts - Mandees
Sneakers - Converse

*Note: I got the Converse at Journeys. Now I don't know if all Journey's do this but I'll tell you anyway. When I went to get these I couldn't decide between the black and the white. The guy at the store, who was really nice by the way, told me that there was a special offer going on; Buy two pairs get ten dollars off. Now, that might not sound that great but I have really little feet and I can fit in children's sizes. So I bought both. For me, the offer was great. I got both pairs of youth size Converse for about ten bucks more than one pair of the adult size. So if you have little feets check out Journey's =)*

Moving on to my update. Project 10 Pan and I don't get along. Let me just put it out there. I like using all my makeup and P10P likes to pressure me into only using the products on my list. I miss things I love because I feel guilty when I use them. Therefore I am disbanning Project 10 Pan. It's a sin - I know but I just can't take it. I did finish three products which I am very proud of, but beyond that all my makeup will be getting love from this day forward.

In & Out # 1
In:
  • The weather! It's sooo gorgeous out.
  • The cutest boyfriend ever.
  • Moving out of my dorm soon.
  • Doing well in school
Out:
  • School - ick. I don't get out til June 11th! =(.
  • Psychology - Why did I take this class?
  • Project 10 Pan
  • Packing!

Alright dears that is all for me. Hope everyone's day is going great!

Unexpected Suprises ...

My boyfriend is too cute. Both of us have been having a hard time between school and the move so I decided we were going on a walk together just the two of us. Well, that walked somehow turned into a little mini date and it was just the thing we needed. We go to school in Philadelphia so while we were walking back to campus we decided to FINALLY go into this little place I have been eyeing since I got here in September. Naked Chocolate is a little place that sells everything sweet and some real food too - but who really cares about that?

When we got there we decided to split a cupcake ...
... which you can see is freaking huge!

Jake got an espresso and I decided to get a frozen chocolate drink and let me tell you - it was outstanding! I didn't really know what to expect but this is what I got ...
Needless to say that I needed a little help finishing it.

We had such a great day & it was much needed and well deserved. I hope everyone had a good day as well. And I apologize about the photo quality; I took these on my Blackberry.

PS. Does everybody remember when the Backstreet Boys came out? I am on the biggest BSB kick ever!
